The family details have been acquired through a process of elimination and deduction. There is no proof that these are correct. Thomas Kirkpatrick was the son of Francis and Isabella Kirkpatrick. He was born on 30th May 1882 in Errigal, County Tyrone. His father died when he was young. Company Sergeant Major Thomas Kirkpatrick was serving with the 9th Battalion of the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers when he was killed in action on 8th May 1916 in the Somme region.
