30/12/2015 The CWGC record Corporal Fleming as the son of Mrs Margret Fleming, of Tulnavert, Clogher, Co. Tyrone.
30/12/2015 James' brother also died in the war. Private William Fleming was killed in action on the first day of the Battle of the Somme on 1st July 1916.
30/12/2015 Corporal Fleming has no known grave and is commemorated on La Ferte-sous-Jouarre Memorial, France.
30/12/2015 Corporal James Fleming was serving with the 2nd Battalion of the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers when he was killed in action in France on Wednesday 16th September 1914. He was 30 years old.
