Patrick Mulgrew was the son of James and Jane Mulgrew. He was born about 1873. It is believed he was a native of Ballygawley, County Tyrone. Private Patrick Mulgrew was serving with the 4th Battalion of the King's (Liverpool Regiment) when he died on 10 October 1918 in France. He was 45 years old. The CWGC describes Patrick as the husband of Mary Mayes Mulgrew, of 27, Scott's Lane, Port Glasgow.

Patrick Mulgrew enlisted in Greenock, Renfrew. He was living in Glasgow at the time.
