Robert Seymour was the son of Isaac Seymour. Robert was born in Benburb, County Tyrone about 1872. Robert worked as a ship painter. Robert Seymour enlisted in Glasgow in August 1916. Robert was married. His wife was a native of Elgin, Scotland. Private Robert Seymour was serving in France with the 1st Battalion of the Royal Irish Fusiliers when he was reported missing and shortly after that confirmed as killed in action on Wednesday 11th April 1917.
