12/09/2020 From the Mid Ulster Mail dated Saturday 21st April 1945: (Bernard Rush – brother of Corporal Patrick Rush)
12/09/2020 Corporal Bernard Rush, Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers (so of Mrs Rush of Lineside, Coalisland), has been awarded the Military Medal. His brother, Corporal Patrick Rush, died at his mother’s residence some months ago from the effects of wounds received in Italy whilst serving with the Wiltshire Regiment. Corporal Bernard Rush’s wife and family reside in Omagh.

26/06/2020 Mrs Agnes Rush of Lineside, Coalisland, has received notification that her son, Private Patrick Rush, has been seriously wounded in Italy.

26/06/2020 Corporal P J Rush died from wounds received on the Italian front. He passed away at his mother’s residence, Line Street, Coalisland. The funeral took place on Tuesday morning to St Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church. Two of his brothers have also been wounded recently.
17/03/2020 Lance Corporal Patrick Joseph Rush is commemorated locally on Dungannon War Memorial.
17/03/2020 Lance Corporal Patrick Joseph Rush is buried in Coalisland Roman Catholic Cemetery in Brackaville, County Tyrone.
17/03/2020 Lance Corporal Patrick Joseph Rush was serving with the 2nd Battalion of the Wiltshire Regiment when he died on 27th August 1944, age 23.
17/03/2020 From the family headstone, Alice was 79 when she died, making her birth date around 1887. The 1911 census lists an Alice Rush living in Camlough, Armagh. She was born in County Louth and was married by then for two years – around 1909.
17/03/2020 Patrick Joseph Rush was the son of Alice Rush. He was born about 1921.
