30/12/2015 Annie? I hope your mother is getting on alright. Tell your children I was asking for them. I hope they are keeping well. Annie, they were asking me for my next of kin and I signed your name as there is no one else I would give anything to except yourself Annie. We got on pay and I got a three shillings postal order
30/12/2015 I kept it three days waiting on an answer from you to send it to you but we were on bathing parade and I either lost it out of my pocket or it was taken out of them. But no matter, I will be more careful the next time. Annie I told the Colour Sergeant of my company, I was leaving you four pence per day while we are here. I suppose if we go away, we will likely sign the will. Annie, there are an awful crowd of
30/12/2015 us here. We are attached to one of our own militia battalion and we have to fight nearly for over food. I wish we were away from about them. Annie, let me know if you get the money alright which I have signed to you. No more to say at present but I remain your loving Robbie. Write soon as we shift anytime. Good night.
